Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Peace be with you!
As we turn the pages of the 2026 calendar, time has quietly slipped past the halfway mark. We—the editors of Living Spring—have been reflecting together: In this half-year filled with turbulence, unrest, and shifting challenges, what keeps us moving forward day by day? The answer, more often than not, lies hidden within those quiet morning devotions, late-night scriptural reflections, and every moment of silent prayers.
Prayer is the very breath of our spiritual life. During the first half of this year, we have witnessed the church moving forward under the vision of "Watch and Pray." Whether through the monthly prayer meetings held by the Chinese and English congregations, or the small-group prayers conducted in the glass room of the sanctuary after every Sunday worship service, it is the Holy Spirit—who dwells within us—who has led us forward, step by step.
In this issue, we paid a special visit to the Chinese and English Congregations to take a close look at the spiritual pulse of three brothers and sisters. Although they come from diverse backgrounds and speak different languages, the thirst for God they demonstrate in their prayers is remarkably consistent.
Also, two other brothers and sisters each shared recent spiritual insights from their personal devotions. One teenager wrote a piece on her experience from this year’s Snow Camp. In addition, we were deeply touched by the testimony of faith shared by Ashwin, an Indian brother; in particular, he highlighted the wondrous connection and communion he shares with God. We are happy to share his testimony with you in this issue as well.
“...Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. So, then, pray in this way...” (Matthew 6:8-9)
As you explore this issue of Living Spring, we invite you to set aside a quiet moment for yourself to commune with God. May the prayer testimonies shared by our brothers and sisters serve as an inspiration to you, enabling us—whether in times of prosperity or adversity—to continuously practice this “spiritual breathing.”
May we watch over one another in prayer, and grow together in the love of the Lord.
Your prayer coworker in Christ,
Yin Yin
