My name is Sarah Sauls and I was part of the group that went to snow camp in New York this year! This was my first time going and I had an amazing time. We got there around 4:00pm then we went to check-in where we were introduced to our counselors and given a small tour of the place. We then split up and we gave a tour of our cabins, after we all unpacked we had dinner and did some short activities. The theme of the messages given was Outsiders- how to live in this world as a follower of Jesus even if that means acting different from others and even potentially viewed as an outsider. The main quote that the pastor kept telling us while we were there was, “Jesus came to the outsiders so the outsiders could become insiders, who live as outsiders on a mission to help other outsiders become insiders”. Basically, we are outsiders on this earth and our mission is to share the message with others so that they can become insiders in God's kingdom. On the last full day there we had many people choose to accept Jesus as their savior for the first time and other people renewed their faith, myself included. I am so glad to have been able to go and worship, learn, and fellowship with other teens. We also spent a lot of time with our counselors and got to hear their testimonies and how God worked and is working in their lives.

One of the main activities that we did while we were there was the “Cardboard Sled Race”. The theme for this activity was snowmobiles, and we had to make the sled entirely out of cardboard. We all had a lot of fun deciding what we should make and how we should make it, we ended up choosing to make something small but fast. Everyone helped out to make it whether it was painting it or putting it together and it turned out really good, it went down the hill fast and it didn’t break which I am very proud of because everyone worked really hard on it. Even though we didn’t win it, I'm glad that we participated and had the chance to go to snow camp this year. We all learned so much from the lessons and were able to experience so many new things.

I want to thank everyone for their dedication and support in making this trip possible!
